Minimally invasive off pump CABG technique using "LIMA to LAD" first in staged hybrid approach for complex Coronary artery disease

چکیده
Method Between December 2012 and 2014 total 28 patients were taken up for Surgery using off pump MIDCAB and MICS CABG technique. LIMA was harvested in all cases using harmonic scalpel and target LAD grafting was done using polypropylene 7-0 or 8 0 depending on luminal size and quality of LIMA. All patients were evaluated with preoperative risk stratification and standard work up protocol including consent to convert in sternotomy, on pump or any other life support system in demand.

Hybrid Coronary Revascularization as a Safe, Feasible, and Viable Alternative to Conventional Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting: What Is the Current Evidence?
The "hybrid" approach to multivessel coronary artery disease combines surgical left internal thoracic artery (LITA) to left anterior descending coronary artery (LAD) bypass grafting and percutaneous coronary intervention of the remaining lesions. Ideally, the LITA to LAD bypass graft is performed in a minimally invasive fashion. This review aims to clarify the place of hybrid coronary revascula...
متن کاملIs there an optimal minimally invasive technique for left anterior descending coronary artery bypass?
BACKGROUND The aim of this retrospective study was to evaluate the clinical outcome of three different minimally invasive surgical techniques for left anterior descending (LAD) coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG): Port-Access surgery (PA-CABG), minimally invasive direct CABG (MIDCAB) and off-pump totally endoscopic CABG (TECAB). METHODS Over a decade, 160 eligible patients for elective LAD...
متن کاملMinimally invasive direct coronary artery bypass for left anterior descending artery revascularization – analysis of 300 cases
INTRODUCTION Minimally invasive direct coronary artery bypass (MIDCAB) grafting is performed via small, left anterolateral thoracotomy. The left internal mammary artery was grafted to the left anterior descending (LAD) artery in 300 consecutive patients. AIM In-hospital results were evaluated and compared with the conventional, off-pump coronary artery bypass graft procedure. MATERIAL AND M...
متن کاملTreatment of coronary heart disease with minimally invasive surgery.
BUMC PROCEEDINGS 2000;13:121–127 In 1998, most cardiac surgical practices used cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB) and cardioplegic arrest as techniques to perform coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) (1). More than 25% of patients undergoing CABG have ≥1 complications (e.g., atrial fibrillation, bleeding, myocardial infarction, sternal infection, stroke, or renal failure). Although some of the morb...
متن کاملAdditional right-sided upper “Half-Mini-Thoracotomy” for aortocoronary bypass grafting during minimally invasive multivessel revascularization
BACKGROUND Although minimally invasive coronary artery bypass grafting (MICS-CABG) has been shown to result in excellent clinical outcomes overall adoption rates still remain low. Traditional strategies for minimally invasive multivessel revascularization - usually performed through single-thoracotomy - have to deal with restricted grafting possibilities and possible increased susceptibility of...
